about newborn sessions
I love to capture babes 5-14 days after their arrival. You may have a babe that is more than 14 days new and wonder if its too late to have a newborn session. The answer is no.
I have captured babes older than 14 days new, we may just need to be a little more flexible in posing. Even if your babe has flaky skin or acne, I still encourage you to have your session while they are still itty bitty.
A common question is what do I need to bring to my session?
Just your babe, diapers, and milk. I have a full studio of backgrounds, wraps, headbands, hats, wraps, etc. to choose from.
Newborn sessions are designed to be as stress-free as possible. Each newborn session includes a complimentary virtual styling session prior to our studio session. In our styling session, we plan the colors, poses, props, etc. So when you come to the studio we can start capturing your babe.
You don't have to worry about how your babe will cooperate.
I create a calming atmosphere to keep your babe warm, sleepy, and comfortable.
I always plan on taking little breaks for feedings, diaper changes, and of course, snuggles!
Your babes safety & comfort is my priority. Newborn poses are baby-led.
I follow their lead and natural movements when posing your babe and never force a pose.
Newborn sessions are not just about your new babe but the entire family.
It's all about capturing your new babe, the snuggles, and capturing your newest little one.

reserving your session
What if we’ve never had professional photos done before?
That’s perfectly okay—most of my clients haven’t!
I’ll guide you through everything so it feels easy and natural from start to finish.
What if I don’t know what kind of session I want?
That’s totally okay! Tell me a little about what you’re envisioning (or even just how you want your photos to feel), and I’ll help you figure out the rest.
When is the best time to have my newborn session?
I love to capture babes 5-14 days after their arrival.
How far in advance should I reserve my session?
The sooner, the better. Many moms reserve their newborn session (I note your due date on my calendar) as early as the end of their first trimester. Once your babe arrives, let me know as soon as possible and we will get your styling & studio session dates on my calendar.
Can siblings & parents be included?
Absolutely! I highly encourage older siblings and parents to have photos taken with their new babe.
How many people can be included in a session?
My sessions are designed for immediate families.
Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely! If you need flexibility, just reach out and we can talk through options.
I want this to feel doable for you.
You can also use Afterpay to pay for your session as well.
How do I reserve a session?
It’s super simple! Just fill out my contact form and I’ll be in touch to chat through all the details, answer your questions, and get your date reserved. From there, I guide you through everything so you never feel lost or overwhelmed.
Do you travel?
Newborn sessions are exclusively held in my private studio in Brownsburg.
Preparing for your session
How do I prepare for my session?
Prior to your studio session we'll have a styling session (don't worry, it's a video call) to plan all of our colors, poses, props, & setups so when you arrive to the studio we can start capturing your babe.
What should we wear?
I recommend wearing neutral colors....white, cream, grey, or black.
Do you help with choosing outfits for the whole family?
Yes! Coordinating outfits can feel overwhelming, but I’ll help you pull everything together so it looks cohesive without feeling too “matchy.”
What should we avoid wearing?
I recommend avoiding bright colors, large logos, busy patterns, and anything that distracts from your connection. Soft, neutral tones tend to photograph beautifully and keep the focus where it belongs—on you.
How do we prepare kids ahead of time?
Keep it light and exciting—no pressure! Let them know it’ll be fun, maybe even a little adventure. A well-rested, well-fed little one is always a win, too.
When should we arrive?
Plan to arrive a few minutes early so everyone can settle in. We’ll start right on time to make the most of our time together.

What if we feel awkward in front of the camera?
I promise—you don’t have to know what you’re doing. That’s my job.
I’ll guide you the entire time with natural prompts so nothing feels stiff or forced.
Most of my clients say this at the start… and then end up having so much fun.
What if my babe cries or is fussy?
It's expected! Newborn sessions are babe-led. If we need to take a break for a feeding, diaper change, or even snuggles...that's what we do!
If we plan a pose that your babe isn't a fan of we'll switch it up and do a different pose. Poses are never forced.
What if my kids don’t cooperate?
Totally normal—and honestly expected.
I don’t need perfect behavior, I just need your littles as they are. I keep things relaxed and playful, and some of the sweetest moments come from the in-between chaos.
A little hint...tell them they'll be my special helper. Big sibs LOVE to help with their new babe!
Can we request specific shots?
If there’s something meaningful you have in mind, I’d love to hear it! I always do my best to incorporate those moments while still keeping everything natural.
Can we bring props?
Simple, meaningful props are always welcome—think blankets, hats, sports gear, or something personal to you. I’ll help make sure it doesn’t feel overdone.
What if we’re running late?
I totally understand that life happens—just send me a text! We’ll make the most of our time together no matter what.

When will we receive our photos?
You can expect your proofing gallery within 1 week after your session (unless you have purchased expedited editing).
I know how excited you’ll be to see them, so I always work to get them back to you as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality. Proofing galleries are delivered in the order sessions are photographed.
Sessions are edited in the order editing requests are received. Final galleries are delivered within 3-4 weeks after you have let me know you've chosen your favorite photos for editing.
A limited number of expedited editing placements are available for an additional fee.
When selected, expedited editing prioritizes your gallery in the editing queue and allows for earlier delivery based on current availability.
How many images will we receive?
Every session is a little different, but you’ll receive a thoughtfully soft-edited proofing gallery filled with the best moments from our time together—no duplicates, no overwhelm, just the good stuff. From there you will pick your favorites for me to custom edit and add to your final gallery to download.
What if I want more images than what is included with my session?
While each session includes a set number of custom edited, digital, high resolution photos, you can absolutely choose more for me to edit & add to your final gallery.
Additional hand-edited images are available for purchase, allowing you to expand your final gallery with the moments you love most.
Will you help us choose our final images?
Of course. I’m always happy to guide you through your gallery so you feel confident choosing your favorites. If you would prefer for me to chose your photos to edit for your final gallery, there is a small charge for the service.
Will my images be edited?
Yes—every image in your final gallery is custom edited to match my style.
I focus on natural, timeless edits that you’ll love for years to come.
What happens after I receive my final gallery?
You’ll be able to download your images and order prints or products if you’d like. From there, you get to enjoy them—hang them up, share them, and relive those moments over and over 💛
Do you offer digital images?
Yes! Your gallery will include digital images, and you’ll also have the option to order prints and products if you’d like.
Do you offer prints?
Yes! Your photos deserve more than just living on your phone. I offer high-quality prints and products so you can actually hold onto these moments for years to come.
Can I print my photos?
Yes! You’ll have access to high-quality print options (and print lab recommendations) so your images don’t just live on a screen—they become part of your home.
