I know reserving a session can feel like a lot—what to wear, what to expect,
will the kids (and even the weather) cooperate… all of it.

reserving your session
What if we’ve never had professional photos done before?
That’s perfectly okay—most of my clients haven’t!
I’ll guide you through everything so it feels easy and natural from start to finish.
What if I don’t know what kind of session I want?
That’s totally okay! Tell me a little about what you’re envisioning (or even just how you want your photos to feel), and I’ll help you figure out the rest.
What if we want more time than a standard session?
Just let me know! We can talk through options and make sure your session fits exactly what you need.
How far in advance should I reserve my session?
The sooner, the better—especially for seniors and fall sessions. Dates can be reserved out at minimum a few months in advance, so I always recommend reaching out early to get your ideal spot & preferred date and time.
Sunset sessions are always the first to be reserved.
How soon should Seniors book?
The earlier, the better—especially for fall dates. Senior season fills up quickly, and I want to make sure you get your preferred location, date, & time.
How many people can be included in a session?
My sessions are designed for immediate families, however, if you’re thinking about something larger, just reach out and we’ll chat about an extended family session.
Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely! If you need flexibility, just reach out and we can talk through options.
I want this to feel doable for you.
You can also use Afterpay to pay for your session as well.
How do I reserve a session?
It’s super simple! Just fill out my contact form and I’ll be in touch to chat through all the details, answer your questions, and get your date reserved. From there, I guide you through everything so you never feel lost or overwhelmed.
Do you travel?
Yes! If you have a location in mind, let’s chat about it. I’m always up for creating something special in a place that means something to you. Travel fees do apply.
Preparing for your session
How do I prepare for my session?
You don’t have to overthink it—I’ll guide you through everything ahead of time. From outfits to timing,
I make sure you feel completely prepared and confident.
What should we wear?
Don’t stress—I help with that! You’ll get styling guidance from me so your outfits feel like you but photograph beautifully. Think coordinated (not matchy), comfortable, and something that makes you feel confident.
Do you help with choosing outfits for the whole family?
Yes! Coordinating outfits can feel overwhelming, but I’ll help you pull everything together so it looks cohesive without feeling too “matchy.”
What should we avoid wearing?
I recommend avoiding bright colors, large logos, busy patterns, and anything that distracts from your connection. Soft, neutral tones tend to photograph beautifully and keep the focus where it belongs—on you.
How do we prepare kids ahead of time?
Keep it light and exciting—no pressure! Let them know it’ll be fun, maybe even a little adventure. A well-rested, well-fed kiddo is always a win, too.
When should we arrive?
Plan to arrive a few minutes early so everyone can settle in. We’ll start right on time to make the most of our time together.

What if we feel awkward in front of the camera?
I promise—you don’t have to know what you’re doing. That’s my job.
I’ll guide you the entire time with natural prompts so nothing feels stiff or forced.
Most of my clients say this at the start… and then end up having so much fun.
What if I’m nervous about how I’ll look?
I hear this all the time—and I promise. I’ll guide you in the most flattering ways and focus on real moments so you feel comfortable and confident.
What if my kids don’t cooperate?
Totally normal—and honestly expected.
I don’t need perfect behavior, I just need your littles as they are. I keep things relaxed and playful, and some of the sweetest moments come from the in-between chaos.
Can we request specific shots?
If there’s something meaningful you have in mind, I’d love to hear it! I always do my best to incorporate those moments while still keeping everything natural.
Can we bring props?
Simple, meaningful props are always welcome—think blankets, hats, sports gear, or something personal to you. I’ll help make sure it doesn’t feel overdone.
What if we’re running late?
I totally understand that life happens—just send me a text! We’ll make the most of our time together no matter what. Since I do reserve outdoor sessions back-to-back the time left in our session upon your arrival will be the time we will have together.

When will we receive our photos?
You can expect your gallery within 1 week after your session (unless you have purchased expedited editing).
I know how excited you’ll be to see them, so I always work to get them back to you as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality. Proofing galleries are delivered in the order sessions are photographed.
Sessions are edited in the order editing requests are received. Final galleries are delivered within 3-4 weeks after you have let me know you've chosen your favorite photos for editing.
A limited number of expedited editing placements are available for an additional fee.
When selected, expedited editing prioritizes your gallery in the editing queue and allows for earlier delivery based on current availability.
How many images will we receive?
Every session is a little different, but you’ll receive a thoughtfully soft-edited proofing gallery filled with the best moments from our time together—no duplicates, no overwhelm, just the good stuff. From there you will pick your favorites for me to custom edit and add to your final gallery to download.
What if I want more images than what is included with my session?
While each session includes a set number of custom edited, digital, high resolution photos,
you can absolutely choose more for me to edit & add to your final gallery.
Additional hand-edited images are available for purchase, allowing you to expand your final gallery with the moments you love most.
Will you help us choose our final images?
Of course. I’m always happy to guide you through your gallery so you feel confident choosing your favorites. If you would prefer for me to chose your photos to edit for your final gallery, there is a small charge for the service.
Will my images be edited?
Yes—every image in your final gallery is custom edited to match my style.
I focus on natural, timeless edits that you’ll love for years to come.
What happens after I receive my final gallery?
You’ll be able to download your images and order prints or products if you’d like. From there, you get to enjoy them—hang them up, share them, and relive those moments over and over 💛
Do you offer digital images?
Yes! Your gallery will include digital images, and you’ll also have the option to order prints and products if you’d like.
Do you offer prints?
Yes! Your photos deserve more than just living on your phone. I offer high-quality prints and products so you can actually hold onto these moments for years to come.
Can I print my photos?
Yes! You’ll have access to high-quality print options (and print lab recommendations) so your images don’t just live on a screen—they become part of your home.

the most asked questions for newborn sessions....
When should I book my newborn session?
It’s best to book during your pregnancy to guarantee availability. I'll note your due date on my calendar and we'll reserve your studio session date/time once your babe arrives.
If you didn't reserve your newborn session prior to their arrival it's not too late!
I always leave room in my schedule for an extra new babe...or two!
Just send me a message and we'll plan your session together & reserve your studio date!
Do I need to bring anything to a newborn session?
I keep things simple and cozy. I’ll guide you ahead of time on anything you might need, but truly—just bring your babe and I’ll take care of the rest 💛

What if my baby arrives earlier or later than expected?
That’s completely okay! Once you have a signed contract/paid deposit, your due date is reserved on my calendar and we'll reserve your studio date & time once your babe arrives.

What makes the best time of year for photos?
Each season has its own magic—spring blooms (May-June), summer glow (June-September), fall colors (October).
I can help you choose what fits your vision most.
Can we choose our location?
Absolutely! I have a list of favorite locations I love (based on light, season, and vibe), but I’m always open to somewhere meaningful to you too. We’ll choose a spot that fits your vision perfectly.
Please note that some locations do charge a fee to have a session on their property.
When reserving outdoor sessions, I allow the first reservation to choose the location for that date.
What if we’re not sure what time of day works best?
I’ll take care of that for you. I’ll recommend the best time based on lighting and your location so everything looks beautiful.
What time will our outdoor session be?
Most sessions take place during that dreamy golden hour (right before sunset) when the light is soft and glowy. I’ll guide you on timing so you don’t have to think twice about it.
What if the weather looks questionable?
I keep a close eye on it the week leading up to your session.
If it’s not looking ideal, I’ll reach out and we’ll make the best call together.
What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
If the weather isn’t working in our favor (whether its wind, temperature, or rain), we’ll reschedule.
